Some of the most pristine, colorized guncam footage from World War Two all in one video. Some of these shots are amazing.
Guncam footage recovered from an old archive was recently republished and colorized. The footage comes from the camera mounted underneath the gun of a P-51 Mustang.
Scenes include multiple strafing runs against troops, ships, and even some air-to-air combat.
The P-51 Mustang was a fighter plane used throughout World War Two. The planes saw service from World War Two, all the way until the 80’s with some air forces.
Today they are dominantly used as racing and show planes for a number of air shows.
Here’s the plane in action, doing what it was originally intended to do.
