An ISIS VBIED attack on a Peshmerga position is stopped, moments before it gets to its intended target near in Mosul, Iraq.
An ISIS pickup truck, loaded with more than 1000 kilograms of TNT, makes a mad dash for a Peshmerga target near Mosul. Multiple rounds from tanks, and infantrymen miss the vehicle as it speeds towards the intended target. It isn’t until a Peshmerga fighter, armed with a German equipped Milan ATGM, takes his shot that the VBIED is stopped.
Someone owes this Peshmerga fighter a beer. If he hadn’t nailed that MILAN shot when he did, chances are that VBIED would have put some serious hurt on them.
All of the tanks missed their shot, and the infantrymen spraying rounds at the vehicle probably weren’t having any effects, if they were even able to hit the target. This MILAN operator though, he smashes that VBIED just in time to save some lives. Absolutely outstanding work, and if it was luck, outstanding time to get lucky.
