It’s a good thing that we ”pulled out” of Afghanistan isn’t it? A video from a place where the war was supposed to be over shows Marines from 1st Battalion 6th Marines laying down suppressing fire so that their whole squad can get on a roof, in a country, where we have “won” the war. When are we going to start, fight, and finish a war decisively? This is the sort of mess that we have been leaving behind since Vietnam, only the names have changed.
Combat zone after combat zone, we are cycling through the same old graveyards for American men and women. Warriors who fight to take back the same ground we gave away, or worse yet walked away from. If Americans want to get behind a war then they better start asking for it to be fought in a manner where we at least look like we might try to win it. These are great clips! Who doesn’t love to see Marines getting it done? Wouldn’t it be nice to see them getting it done somewhere else though? Somewhere that we don’t have 100 other videos of military members fighting the same fight, on the same ground we claim to have already conquered? If America is going to get behind war, then the least we could do is get to winning the ones we are already fighting.
