A World War II veteran with four combat jumps has died at the age of 102 on July 6, 2018 at his home.

1SG Harold Eatman was assigned to the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) of the 82nd Airborne Division and was one of only 2,800 paratroopers to make those four combat jumps. Less than 16 of those paratroopers are alive today.

Eatman jumped into Normandy, Holland, Sicily, and Salerno and fought in some of the bloodiest battles of the European theater. Eatman was a recipient of the French Legion of Honor, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, plus many more medals and awards. He truly is a legend that must never be forgotten.
