A night assault by Kurdish insurgents of the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) targets Turkish proxy forces in the city of Albab, Syria in the following video.
The US is in the process of setting of a “safe zone” in northeast Syria at the behest of Turkey, who wants Kurdish militants removed from the area, including US-backed SDF, which is mainly Kurdish-led.
The SDF is currently withdrawing from the areas of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn where they have been instrumental in defeating the Islamic State as the main combat force of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Turkey threatens that if the 25-mile deep buffer zone along their border is not cleared of Kurdish militants that they will once again invade Syria, similar to their previous Operation Olive Branch.
The following video shows Kurdish fighters focusing heavy fires onto an enemy-occupied building, forcing their foe into the open, who are then opened up on by a waiting sniper.
