In order to win a war, you must be willing to commit acts that seem almost animalistic. More than that, you need a public that will allow you to commit those acts without judging you, or crying about the unfairness of war. We didn’t win World War 1, World War 2, or Korea with mass media involvement and disapproval for the actions committed. We won those conflicts outright because we were the most violent men on the battlefield, and our countrymen backed us.
The Peshmerga are displaying that same kind of willingness to win here. A small team of journalists embedded with a Peshmerga unit were conducting a live broadcast when they captured the below footage on their cameras. Instead of shying away from the violence, or condemning the actions of the men they were with, they got the cameras front and center to view the carnage. Once the action was complete, they praised the men and interviewed them about their victories for the day.
Take no prisoners. Especially when you’re dealing with ISIS.
