Marines from RCT-5, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, Company C, chase down a group of insurgents who just ambushed their cordon.

This video legitimately feels like an episode of COPS. Marines are hanging out in a cordon, trying to keep the local populace away from an IED, when they are suddenly ambushed.

Without hesitation the Marines from Company C’s mobile assault platoon go on the offensive, and catch the enemy on the run.

You really have to hand it to the driver of this humvee. He maneuvers the vehicle like a true expert, while taking fire from the insurgents, and ignoring the chaos going on inside of his own vehicle. He knows exactly where he is going, and he intends to take his Marines directly to the enemy to eliminate, or capture them.

Chase Insurgents

This ambush was initiated while the Marines of Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines were on a cordon for an IED. While the mobile assault platoon was keeping civilians out of the blast area, this truck team came under direct enemy fire.

Once they identified the threat, they went into pursuit and eliminated it, so the threat would no longer be an issue for the team working on the IED.
