A video is circulating showing a 17-year-old male get pepper sprayed and repeatedly tazed by police after failing to comply to a probable cause-based search.
According to the video, police pull over a vehicle and the responding officer claims to smell marijuana. The driver denies the allegations, but at that point, the best thing to do is to comply with the police, or things will only escalate.
A male occupant sitting in the backseat of the vehicle, and speaking with a fake tough guy thug accent that doesn’t match anyone else in the video starts making stern demands of the responding officers while ridiculously invoking his nonexistent right to having his mommy present.
“Until my ‘mutha’ is here, no one is to touch me. Do you understand?” He warns the officers, and he believes himself. He repeatedly tells the officers that he is 17 years of age, like that somehow makes him non applicable to the law or the enforcement of the law.
The cop tells him that he will be getting out of the vehicle, and when the young thuggin’ mama’s boy refuses to comply, an argument breaks out. The officers try to remove him from the vehicle and he continues to resist, so they pepper spray him. The pepper spray triggers a cyclic rate of admissions of the suspect’s age. He’s 17-years-old, by the way.
Still failing to comply, the police escalate the situation and the fool eventually gets tazed multiple times, he is pulled from the vehicle and cuffed, all while reminding the officers of his age… which is 17.
Looking back at my 17-year-old self, I cringe. I was a complete idiot that thought I knew it all. All 17-year-olds are like that, it’s mandatory. If you don’t think you were a know-it-all dumbass at 17, you’re probably still that same dumbass that hasn’t matured, and that is what makes the difference. Hopefully, this young man uses this event as a learning experience to get his head out of his ass, and his life back on track rather than thinking this embarrassing display of stupidity has earned him some street cred in the thug life scene. One thing is clear, mommy couldn’t help him then, and it’s doubtful that she’ll be able to help him when he’s no longer 17-years-old.
