A Syrian heavy machine gunner gives away his position in a night time firefight, and barely survives the return fire on his position.

Maintaining the concealment of your machine gun positions is key when you are in the defense. The rate of fire that the weapons can put out is devastating, and not keying your enemy in to their exact locations will enable them to be more effective as the enemy closes on your position.

During a night time attack, a rebel heavy machine gunner has an insanely close call with incoming tracer rounds after he telegraphs his location and fails to relocate. If the rounds had been about a half inch lower, this guy would have gotten a nasty haircut.
