A camera mounted on top of an M1A2 Abrams records the destruction of multiple insurgents positions in Fallujah, Iraq.
The M1A2 Abrams is one of the most deadly tanks in existence today. It’s capabilities and armament out class almost every other tank currently in operation around the world. A tank however, is only a tracked vehicle with very large guns mounted on it.
Without the infantry support it needs, it can be quickly destroyed by ground troops hiding in its many blind spots. Watch how smoothly this tank operates while friendly infantrymen mutually support it.
This M1A2 Abrams moves from position to position, destroying insurgent strongholds. The entire time its moving, it is covered by friendly ground troops. After it destroys an enemy location, the infantry move in, and mop up.
The infantrymen detain the survivors who surrender, and eliminate those who choose to continue fighting. This is the proper way for a tank to operate in a highly populated and dynamic urban environment. Strong work.
