A video uploaded by the Kurdish Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) shows night time military operations against the Turkish troops and their Islamist proxy forces in Afrin, Syria.
The video begins with a riflemen observing recoilless rifle or RPG fire against an enemy base. The high explosive rounds can be seen impacting against the buildings within the fortification.
The video then transitions to a clip of what appears to be a uniformed Turkish soldier linking up with an Islamist rebel. They are unaware that they are exposed and being observed through a thermal scope. The camera/rifleman begins firing, and his targets are noticeably struck.
In March of 2018, the Turkish Armed Forces accompanied by Arab militias invaded Syria’s Afrin region to drive Kurdish forces out. They succeeded in expelling the Kurdish fighters and set up a garrison for Islamist Arab proxy forces within Afrin city.
However, since that time the Kurdish Afrin Liberation Forces have carried out near constant insurgent type attacks against the occupying units with sniper harassment operations, assassinations, and lightning raids like the one in this video.
