When it comes to maximum violence, there is no greater example than World War II. World War II was a conflict like no other in the history of the world. There was a defined good and evil, and both sides were convinced that the other was the true evil. No steady rules of engagement defined the war, and actions that would crucify Soldiers and Marines today were absolutely praised by the mainstream media.
Violence was an absolute necessity, and on Iwo Jima that level of violence was maximized in a way that no person should ever have to see again. War is brutal, war is ugly, and it never changes.
Here is some very clear combat footage that was taken during the attack on the Japanese held island of Iwo Jima.
