Islamic State In Libya Carry Out Series Of Lightning Raids

Although the Islamic State was beaten from Sirte in late 2016, the terror group still remains a grave threat to the already barely existent security of the failed state of Libya.

A new video release by ISIS in Libya depicts various lightning raids and suicide attacks against various government and military targets. The original video was over 20 minutes long and showed a series of beheadings and religious psycho babble. However, the following video, which still contains extremely graphic content, has been cut down to show three of the raids and one suicide bombing.

The ongoing destruction in Libya rests squarely on the shoulders of the Obama Administration’s violent overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi with the use of al Qaeda and other jihadist groups, which were branded as “freedom fighters” to subdue Western media consumers. With Gaddafi gone, a power vacuum set off perpetual strife between dozens of factions all vying for control of the north African nation.
