While conducting clearing operations near the Euphrates river, the Iraqi Army spots an oncoming Daesh VBIED. Their embedded camera crew starts to panic, while the Iraqi Army shuffles them to a position of relative safety. The IA then take up positions, and destroy the vehicle before it can get close enough to do any real damage.
It’s interesting to see the evolution of the Iraqi Army over the past few years. While they are still light years away from being a conventional first world military force, it’s quite obvious that their battlefield awareness, and will to fight have increased more than ten-fold since the fight with Daesh began.
