An abandoned mosque, being used as an ISIS command center, is completely annihilated by a Western coalition airstrike in Ramadi.
Iraqi Security Forces claimed victory over Ramadi back in December, but have been conducting clearing operations to finish off various fragmented elements of Islamic State resistance. The Iraqi forces are now saying that ISIS has been completely pushed out of the city that now lies in ruins after weeks of heavy fighting, airstrikes, and massive vehicle borne improvised explosive devices. Explosive booby traps, estimated in the thousands, have been rigged all over the city to slow the Iraqi troops and cover the Islamic State’s retreat.
