A group of Iraqi soldiers are losing steam in an attack against a Daesh HQ. Then a coalition airstrike makes an incredible direct hit on their target.
A JDAM can do a lot of things for troops on the ground. It can be the support needed to get through a specific point of friction, and it can demoralize the enemy in a very special way. Most importantly though, it can be the second, third, or even fourth wind for a major attack that is starting to get bogged down. This JDAM is the moral boost these Iraqi troops needed to complete their attack, and the strike is perfect.
