Canadian police have released a CCTV security camera video in hopes of generating leads to identify a man who attempted to murder a woman with a crossbow by posing as a deliveryman.
The event took place on November 7, 2018, at approximately 2000 hours in Mississauga, Ontario. The suspect can be seen with his hand inserted into the back of the box gripping the firing mechanism of the crossbow.
Although the video doesn’t show the actual shot, the police have stated that the 44-year-old woman opened the door and had a short dialogue with the man before he fired a bolt tipped with a razor sharp hunting broad head into her body.
She was able to shut the door as the man fled the scene. The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was stabilized, but doctors say she will be recovering from her wounds for the rest of her life.
