An advancing soldier moves directly into the path of a machine gunner and his buddy. He gets cut down before he realizes his mistake.
A machine gunner is leading an assault on a regime position in Syria. As the fight picks up, and they close on the Syrian soldier’s position, one of the Syrian soldiers makes a fatal mistake. The machine gunner’s buddy reacts quickly, and absolutely annihilates the soldier at close range.
During this assault, conducted by Jabhat al-Nusra, we see a lot insanity, and just plain stupidity. From the start, we see a machine gunner out front acting as the point man. This guy maneuvers aggressively, and often without cover. His survival in this situation was 50 percent luck, and 50 percent terrible marksmanship from the SAA.
At 1:51, Jabhat fighters pull a cool-guys don’t look at explosions move. They completely ignore the fact the wall behind them is erupting in round impacts, and just slowly walk off like secondary shrapnel isn’t a thing. Again, their survival is attributed to luck, and they’re probably mistaking it for the protection of their god.
