A high speed gun battle breaks out on the streets of Mexico amid drug cartel infighting.
The unconfirmed video apparently shows a vehicle mounted attack on fellow Sinaloa cartel members as once unified factions compete for power.
Trucks loaded with narcos firing automatic weapons speed in circles around seemingly inoperable vehicles of rival cartel members. The targeted vehicles were likely rendered inoperable by the heavy gun fire before the video started. The hit squad takes multiple passes through the area with a seemingly limitless amount of ammo.
Although infighting in the Sinaloa Cartel is nothing new, since the arrest of top boss Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman in 2016, a serious power vacuum has opened resulting in cutthroat assassinations and kidnappings as the various factions violently attempt to increase their influence within the organization, all while simultaneously fighting against the Mexican government.
There is somewhere around 10 separate cells that makeup the Sinaloa Cartel, and they all want a piece of the pie regardless of how many bodies they have to stack to get it. The number of homicides in the state of Sinaloa is at an all time high.
The following unconfirmed video reportedly shows a hit attempt carried out by the sons of extradited drug lord, Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman as they targeted a rival criminal group loyal to Damaso Lopez ‘El Licenciado’ Nunez on an urban street of Villa Jaurez near Culiacán on or around 6 February 2017.
