A civilian near the bombing site of a major Daesh stronghold records massive airstrikes being conducted in preparation for an attack on the city.
On Thursday, March 17, 2016, the Iraqi Air Force began dropping leaflets into Mosul telling civilians to prepare for liberation. Today, March 20, 2016, on the 13 year anniversary of the first Iraq War, that liberation started in the form of large airstrikes.
Civilians on the ground managed to capture the first of many preparatory strikes against Daesh in the city. Massive JDAM bombs rained from the sky, as the Iraqi Army prepares a push into Mosul, that will hopefully secure the city, and remove ISIS from control in the area.
