With a GoPro mounted on an Abrams, Iraqi military and paramilitary units teamed up to clear the Alsjarih neighborhood of Ramadi.
As the war in Syria escalated, the Russian “ANNA” team of journalists, led by Andrey Filatov, embedded with the Syrian Army, placing video cameras on the different tanks and infantry fighting vehicles during some of the heaviest fighting. That footage, in my mind, is some of the best war documentation ever gathered from any conflict, ever. Let’s hope this Iraqi combat camera crew continues to follow in those footsteps, and could potentially bring us videos on par with, or even better, than the ones that came out of Syria in the past.
