If you’ve ever wanted the first person experience of a HALO jump, without the risk of actually jumping out of an aircraft, we have the hook up for you. This video, from the 38th Rescue Squadron, is a HALO jump from an HH-60 Pavehawk.
Air Force Pararescuemen, or Para Jumpers, are one of the elite SOF units for the United States Air Force. They are tasked with assisting in special operations, and are required to be prepared for a myriad of rescue type operations.
Out of the 22 Air Force Cross recipients awarded to enlisted personnel, 12 have been awarded to Pararescuemen.
