US Army FOB Attacked During Dust Storm In Kapisa Province

A video from Kapisa province, Afghanistan, in 2013, shows a Taliban attack against US forces. The Taliban were using the poor weather in hopes that US aircraft would be grounded and early warning and detection systems would be degraded.

From one of the soldiers present for the attack: “Our FOB came under attack during a light dust storm. The Taliban had taken positions along tree lines around the FOB, and A-10’s were called to help us mop up. No US casualties were sustained during the attack, except a really expensive blimp which was torn off the tether by the wind. (RIP) My buddy had just gotten a helmet cam, heres some of the footage.”
