The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and National Counterterrorism Center have issued warnings of politically-motivated domestic terror attacks against Independence Day celebrations in the coming days.

Although they didn’t give any location or date specifics, the federal authorities stated that political radicals “have attacked perceived oppressors, opponents, or enemies engaged in outdoor First Amendment-protected rallies or protests during past summers.”

By that statement, which was posted in a bulletin titled “Large Crowds at Independence Day Celebrations and Parades Present Attractive Targets for Violent Extremists,” it can be deduced that it’s not the Islamic State they are warning of, but rather extremist hate groups such as ANTIFA who have a strong hatred for anything that can be perceived as patriotic.
