Aerial footage from RIMPAC 2018 shows the decommissioned ex-USS Racine (LST-1191) being used for target practice by the Japanese and Americans.

The retired vessel was targeted from the air, sea, and land during the world’s largest international maritime exercise. Militaries from 25 nations, 45 ships, five submarines, hundreds of aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are currently taking part in the month-long exercise. RIMPAC allows allied nations to develop interoperability for large scale military operations while also building rapport at the troops level.
