Members of the Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast pursue and capture another smuggling vessel in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Putting in work!

Members of the Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast have been extremely busy the past few weeks. A week ago crew members from the Steadfast captured a smuggling vessel that had been set on fire in the Eastern Pacific Ocean while conducting interdiction operations. Again, just this week, crew members of that same cutter interdicted with another two smuggling vessels, forcing both boats to abandon their cocaine into the ocean.

While one of the two vessels did manage to evade the interdiction team, the second vessel was captured along with the smugglers still aboard the boat. Bales of cocaine totaling an unknown amount from both vessels were intercepted by the crew of the Cutter, along with three of the smugglers who are now being detained by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard may get a lot of flak from other branches of service about the work that they do, but one thing is for certain, they put in a lot of work to get their jobs done. The video below comes to us courtesy of the United States Coast Guard and the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast. Keep putting in that good work Steadfast.
