Okay, this isn’t really a routine traffic stop, just in case you thought it was. As far as I know there are no seat-belt laws in Iraq, and even if there were, we would not be enforcing them with these assets. This is a video of 160th SOAR, and their special payload of operators, conducting a snap detention of a high value target.
It’s impossible to tell who specifically is doing the detaining, or why the detained is being rolled up. Chances are that he was a bad guy, responsible for bad things. This is a maneuver pulled straight out of Black Hawk Down, and this real-world footage proves that it’s an effective tactic.
Videos like this put a gigantic grin on my face. Every time I see some action like this unfold, I get extremely excited. It’s not every day that you get to watch operators operating operationally to interdict enemy operations in their own area of operation.
