The Camp Ashraf Massacre occurred on 1 September 2013 north east of Baghdad and resulted in the deaths of 52 people, many of whom were executed while bound.
The camp itself was occupied by Iranian refugees that belonged to the main opposition group of the current Iranian government. Initially, it was thought that Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki, an Iranian puppet, ordered and carried out the killings with his own troops.
Eventually, it was decided that the massacre was ordered by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, planned and facilitated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the actual killings were carried out by Iran’s Iraq-based proxy groups Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq, all while the complicit Iraqi government turned a blind eye. Seven of the refugees were taken back to Iran by the IRGC. The truth of what happened that day probably differs from the official reports.
The following video was recorded by one of the occupants of the camp and shows uniformed men, armed with silenced rifles, enter the camp and begin summarily killing the trapped and defenseless refugees. Imagine the panic and helplessness you would feel as you hide unarmed, awaiting your fate.
