Very few details have been released, but reports are stating that at least 18 people have been killed in coordinated shootings in Paris, France today.
It is still unconfirmed if this was a terrorist attack, but we would say it is safe to assume that it was, based on recent attacks and attempts.
Update 16:21 CST: Police officials have told the AP news agency that at least 60 people have been killed in shootings and explosions, with 100 potential hostages are being held at the Bataclan concert venue.
Update 16:57 CST: A state of emergency has been declared in France, and the borders have been closed.
Update 17:20 CST: Police officials have confirmed that two of the explosions were suicide bombers, indicating that this was in fact an Islamic terrorist attack.
Update 17:27 CST: Explosions and gunfire continue to be heard coming from the building where the hostages are being held captive.
Update 17:41 CST: Police have launched an attack on the theater where the hostages are being held. Gunshots and explosions have been heard.
Update 17:49 CST: One suspect has been arrested, he claims he is a part of ISIS.
Update 17:50 CST: Two of the hostage takers have been killed at the Bataclan concert venue, and hostages are being rescued.
