A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the series of suspicious packages mailed to prominent left-wing public figures.

Cesar Altieri Sayoc, approximately 56 years old, was arrested at an auto repair shop in Plantation, Florida. Sayoc reportedly has a criminal history, which includes a bomb threat in Miami back in 2002.

Authorities claim DNA evidence played a part in finding their suspect. A white van, which was plastered in pro Trump stickers, is believed to connected to the suspicious packages and was seized by law enforcement as well.

The packages are being reported as “bombs” and “pipe bombs” by the media, although not a single one exploded, besides being detonated by authorities. That suggests that Sayoc didn’t actually now how to make a bomb, or was doing it for attention.

Further details about the suspect claim he previously registered as a Republic, and he declared bankruptcy in 2012.
