The Balochistan Liberation Front, also known as the Baloch Liberation Army, is a militant organization based in both Pakistan and Afghanistan. Since 2004 they have been in an active armed engagement with the Pakistani Army in a struggle to attain equal rights and self-determination for the Baloch people in Pakistan. They are most famous in Pakistan for a bombing that took place in 2000 where they claimed credit for a series of attacks on Pakistani authorities. They were deemed a terrorist organization by Pakistan in 2006 after a series of attacks, similar to the one in the video below, were conducted against Pakistani security forces.
In this video, which was just recently released on the internet and is already being quickly removed from sites such as YouTube due to its graphic nature, Balochi militants brutally ambush a mounted patrol of soldiers riding in unarmored trucks. The soldiers are quickly surrounded, outgunned, and killed in the firefight as they try to fight or retreat. In the release, the Balochis stated that they killed Pakistani Colonels Aamir Waheed, and R Shajaullah, but this is unconfirmed by any official Pakistani sources at the time of this article’s release.
If more information becomes available, we will update this post and additional sources. It is worth noting that the video you are about to see contains scenes of graphic violence, including death by multiple gunshots, which may be unsuitable for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.
