An armored truck belonging to national guard loyalists of Venezuelan President Maduro’s socialist regime was recorded plowing into a group of protestors on a Caracas street.
CNN aired the clip on on Venezuelan television and seconds later, the network was blocked across the nation. Additionally, the Venezuelan government also blocked BBC from airing as well.
For months the Venezuelan government has shutdown social media across the country in hopes of keeping images and videos of socialism’s grim reality from the world’s eye. Blacking out YouTube, Bing, Periscope, Google’s various chat and messaging services also makes it harder for dissident’s to organize and execute uprisings and other anti Maduro operations.
