Gun cam footage shows a pair of Apache attack helicopters systematically destroying insurgent-held dwellings in Iraq in support of infantry troops.
Based on the video dialogue, it can be deduced that an insurgent IED emplacement/trigger team was observed and confronted by the ground forces after the detonation or discovery of the deadly device.
The ground unit is actually the callsign “Apache” meaning Alpha Company, and is likely from one of the 23rd Infantry Regiment Stryker Battalions (Tomahawks). The battalion commander, Tomahawk 6, gives his approval of the destruction of three buildings that are harboring the insurgents. The team of gunships strikes them one by one using AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-surface missiles.
