A Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) low-level airborne ground surveillance system records multiple airstrikes on Taliban fighters from a British-operated base in Afghanistan.
The first clip shows multiple insurgents emplacing an improvised explosive device in a regularly patrolled roadway, but an A-10 Warthog comes in and drops a bomb directly on top of them. The Taliban team is wiped out, but the A-10 comes in for a gun run on to the smoldering chunks of meat anyway.
The next video shows Taliban fighters getting into position to attack the base, not knowing that they are being observed. A precision strike obliterates one of the insurgents, which causes the remainder of the insurgents to flee. You can see them running with disguised weapons in their hands.
Finally, an insurgent is attempting to take cover behind a kalat wall, but the ISAF troops know he’s there. An airstrike hammers his position, killing him and collapsing the wall. The A-10 finishes with a gun run for good measure.
