200 Airstrikes Hit Idlib In 72 Hours, 700,000 Syrians Fleeing

Syrian and Russian military planes have reportedly carried out 200 airstrikes over a three-day period on a rebel-held residential area of Idlib.


The intense and indiscriminate bombing campaign has displaced an estimated 700,000 civilians who are fleeing for the Turkish border, and will likely attempt to gain passage to Europe.

The Russian and Assad regime forces are attempting to dislodge opposition forces that have occupied the are for nearly eight years.

The US special envoy for Syria, James Jeffrey, claimed that the strikes are targeting mainly civilians and may cause a massive international humanitarian crisis, according to NBC News.
