The Blackhawk (Israeli designator: Yanshuf) is an indicator that this particular team is based out of Palmachim Airbase. The soldiers' faces, including those of the casualties, have been occluded to protect their identities. Special Tactics Rescue Unit 669 is analogous to the US Air Force's vaunted Pararescue in that operators must be skilled in advanced medicine as well as special and advanced warfare. Training and selection lasts eighteen months and is considered to be among the most demanding courses that an IDF soldier can undergo.
