Cartel Gun Battle Breaks Out At USA Border Crossing

A deadly gun battle broke out between cartel gunmen and the Mexican National Guard at the Pharr–Reynosa International Bridge between the Mexican State of Tamaulipas and Texas on May 10, 2023. This is actually the third such incident in the area in the last week.

It has been reported that live-fire drills were being conducted at a similar time, adding confusion as to whether an actual gun battle had taken place, but Mexican authorities confirmed the incident, claiming they had killed three cartel gunmen. Gory photos of shot up pickup trucks are circulating on social media and add confirmation to the legitimacy of the incident.
